This painting was inspired by a lovely purple Iris, which is one of my birth month flowers along with violets. These paintings were inspired by bright and sunny garden flowers. Flowers included are the Yellow Flag Iris, Pink Peony (‘Isn’t She Lovely’), Red Oriental Poppy, Red and white Columbine, Yellow Bearded Iris, and Pink and white Clematis.
